Website chatbot

Most visitors have one question before they call

Is it safe for my pets? How long until I can walk on it? Do you even come out to my town? If the answer isn't on the page they landed on, a lot of people just leave.

Dry answers those questions right away, using a knowledge base we wrote with the client, not whatever the internet thinks carpet cleaning costs.

Example conversation

Hi! I can answer questions about cleaning, pricing, or whether we serve your area.

Is it safe for my cats? And do you come to 37064?

Yes on both. The cleaning solution is safe for pets, and 37064 is Franklin, which is in our Nashville service area.

hard "no" answers on an unknown zip

Two kinds of questions, two different answers

Most of what people ask fits in a short list we wrote down once and keep updated. The service-area question is different, because a confident wrong answer there loses a job. So zips get checked against a list we pulled from the company's actual service zones, not left to the AI's idea of where Nashville ends.

How Dry handles a question

Visitor asks

Any question, any page

The widget loads from one script tag on the site.

General question

Answered from the knowledge block

Pricing and specials, pet safety, dry time, what each service covers. If it isn't in there, Dry says so and points to the phone.

Do you serve my area?

Unknown

"Give us a call and we'll confirm"
An unknown zip never gets a flat no. A wrong "we don't serve you" costs a real job. A phone call costs nothing.

Booking is the next piece

Right now Dry answers questions and points people to the phone or the specials page. The scheduling flow is built and in testing. Once it connects to the same ServiceTitan booking path the voice agent uses, a visitor will be able to pick a real time without anyone picking up a phone.

Questions we get about this one

How hard is it to add to my site?+

One script tag. It works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, a custom build, whatever you have. We host the widget, so there's nothing to update on your end.

What if it gets a question it can't answer?+

It says it doesn't know and gives your phone number. We'd much rather it hand off than make something up, and we tune the knowledge block every time it hits a gap.

Is a chatbot better than a contact form?+

Keep both. For most service businesses the chatbot works best sitting next to the form. Some people just want to fill in their name and go. The chatbot catches the ones who had one question and would have left without asking it.

How do you test it before it goes live?+

The client's team chats with it like a customer would. When something's off, they type a note right in the chat and it lands in a private review page for us. That's a lot faster than an email thread full of screenshots.

Want one of these for your shop?
